Each Summer appears to be a different dancefloor.

This year there have been tons of releases since January but 99% were pure rubbish or unnecessary remixes or bad-sampled tunes. 2024 is a year to be remembered as the year of mimicking in music in general. Just a few went bolder and released some really good tunes that stand out amongst others and those are the obvious summer hits. On the other hand dance music, house music, techno, dnb seem to be full, but not with enough hits. The clubs play tunes that you don’t get often on Spotify or the radio and backwards. In Greece and some other countries too, there is this afro house movement that most local DJs play, whom sets consist of energy-less lifeless remixes of old rnb tunes mainly that really don’t get people in the mood for dancing rather than raising their hands for some seconds, as long as the Insta story or Tik Tok post stands. You will not get that here! 🙂

Well, on the contrary I’ve been listening to too much music and have chosen 50 tunes that are hot, that are hits, that are dancefloor tunes, that are favourites, and many groovy tracks to lift your spirit up this summer! As every year, this is the first of my summer playlists. A second one will come later within July.
