Brit Awards 2016 ceremony took place at 02 Arena in London with Ant & Dec being the presenters of the night (they are huge in UK but not at their best this year)! I really enjoyed Simon Le Bon who yelled ‘music lovers’ at some point , cause that’s what all those awards and ceremonies is all about.
We watched some great live performances from Coldplay on ‘Hymn for the weekend’ (who opened the show), James Bay played guitar accompanying Justin Bieber on ‘Love Yourself’ and JB on ‘Sorry’ joined his dancers among lots of flames and fire (be careful with these boy), Jess Glynne on a medley of her greatest hits, James Bay on ‘Hold Back The River’ (absolutely amazing), Rihanna on ‘Consideration’ and ‘Work’ (with Drake appearing on stage for a sensual dance with RiRi), Little Mix on ‘Black Magic’, The Weeknd on ‘The Hills’ and for the closing of the show Adele (who won 4 Brit awards) performed ‘When We Were Young’.
Acknowledging the musicians we have lost this year, Annie Lenox came on stage to present the British Icon Award. She gave an inspiring speech for the loss of David Bowie and the award was received by one of his close friends, Gary Oldman. After that, to honour David Bowie, his band appeared on stage for a short medley and Lorde performed ‘Life On Mars’.
