It seems like there aren’t many ballads that excite people. Dance music , hip-hop and EDM have put aside the slow dance, the lovin’ or the pain that a ballad caused in our mind when we listened to it. But looking at the UK Charts since 2010 , i see that there are 10 huge No.1 singles which spoke to the heart and still most of them remain as classic tunes. The genres might have changed the last decade but i see that there’s still hope for some good ‘slow music’ especially from pop artists (now that the rock and soul genre doesn’t ‘feed’ the charts as it used to do). So let’s have a listen and take a look to those singles starting with Adele and finishing (till now) with Ed Sheeran and his latest No.1 single in UK charts.
