It was 1990 when we first listened to the sound of Enigma, I remember MTV playing ‘Sadeness (Part I)’ in their playlist every 1 1/2 hour. Well… 26 years after, without any further notice in the past, comes the release of ‘Sadeness (Part II)’. It starts with a small (and the most known) part from Johann Sebastian Bach masterpiece ‘Toccata and Fugue in D minor’ and then comes the Enigma sound you expect. Anggun is featured on vocals (with her sexy voice) and also Michael Cretu gives an unexpected ending to the song. It’s definitely a strong comeback to decide and release music like ‘Sadeness (part II)’ with the classical parts being so intense. The pop culture is completely different at this point of time. On the other hand, it’s the same it was in 1990 when Enigma came out. So, there is a chance for people to come acquainted and reconnected with a classical piece of music (talking about Bach) and also listen to a complete different approach to the arrangement of it.

More than 25 years after the release of ENIGMA’S ground-breaking debut album, MCMXC a.D., Michael Cretu—the man behind this genre-defying act—is releasing its brand new album, The Fall Of A Rebel Angel.
The musical project, known globally as ENIGMA, has proved one of the most successful of the last quarter-century. It has delivered more than 70 million sales across seven albums, 60 Number One albums around the world, and received over 100 Platinum awards. Now, in 2016, Cretu reconnects with that very first multi-platinum album to transfer its bold, pioneering sound-world to here and now.
The Fall Of A Rebel Angel is the musical parable of a sensitive artist’s view on the human condition. The album tells the story of a protagonist setting off on a symbolic journey of development and change to find a new, fulfilling life. In cooperation with Cretu, Grammy and Echoaward-winning writer, Michael Kunze, has created the story in words to accompany the music, which will be featured in its entirety on the album’s multi-lingual Special Edition. In addition, Wolfang Beltracchi, one of the greatest and most controversial painters of our times, has crafted the album’s artwork and 12 original paintings, each to illustrate the 12 album “chapters”.
