We’ve been waiting 24 years for this release. The UK duo of Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt are ready to release their new album “Fuse” on April 21st , their first since “Temperamental”.

EBTG had their unique sound in the 90s, a complete different style than the one they delivered in the 80s, and those electronic sounds combined with Tracey’s voice have been playing till the news came like a bomb, to all the club goers across the globe who kept dancing and listening to their classic tunes. Everybody (i really mean everybody) wanted and expected for many years this comeback. The feeling in the clubs when i was playing EBTG on my Dj sets is uncomparable.

Tracey Thorn said “aware of the pressures of such a long-awaited comeback, so we tried to begin instead in a spirit of open-minded playfulness”. Ben Watt told NME:

“We’ve never been a particularly nostalgic band – we’ve always been known for making a different record every time. Sometimes that’s meant going against the mainstream, but we just try to keep ourselves interested and keep things contemporary. We wanted to come back with something modern-sounding. We’re not out there on the heritage trail doing ‘best of’ tours or playing arenas. We just wanted to make a piece of work that would sound great now in 2023. That was the driver.”

Their new tune “Nothing Left To Lose” combines the modern electronic sound and some really great lyrics with the deep voice of Tracey Thorn. It’s a banger! It’s a tune that definitely sets a great start for 2023 and we’re all glad about it. Also waiting for the remixes to drop! Check out the dance video and listen to the single. You’re going to put it on repeat and on your hot list for sure.
