Madonna’s comeback in 2026, not only is it full of content, it is so unstoppable that you can’t take your eyes off of everything she does to promote “Confessions on the dancefloor II”.
When the year begun she released “La Bambola” for Dolce & Gabbana. Little did we know, some months ago, that the iconic fashion brand would make the greatest fashion show through her film for promoting ‘Confessions II’.
Then we had the release of “I Feel So Free”, a guest appearance on Coachella stage with Sabrina Carpenter, a Grindr promotion for her new vinyl release and a party in the centre of New York. Times Square just flooded with people, to watch Madonna perform for about 15 minutes. And more in between, M is used to say things to “annoy” people. It’s her thing, it’s her trick to always be relevant.
And then… Tribeca Film Festival. A day after that, the release on YouTube of her promo film for the album “Confessions II”, that is set for a proper release on July 3rd. Songs appearing are: “I Feel So Free”, “Good For The Soul”, “One Step Away”, “Bring Your Love”, “Danceteria”, “Read My Lips (feat. Feid) “. And in the end an “I Feel So Free (Reprise)” and a deep house remix of “Bring Your Love” while the credits are rolling.
This art mini film is full of celebrity cameos. We see Julia Garner, Sabrina Carpenter, Benedict Cumberbatch, Gwendoline Christie, Kate Moss, Debi Mazar, Feid, Arca, Shygirl, Honey Dijon, Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, Archie Madekwe, Richard Grant, Odessa A’Zion and her daughter Lourdes Leon. All those among an amazing cast of dancers who uplift the whole film!
But it’s not only about the music, the cameos and the dancing. The references on Madonna’s legacy are so many in here! I mean, the dress from ‘Ray Of Light’, the scence in the bathroom from ‘Desperately Seeking Susan’, the dance from Re-Invention’s tour ‘Vogue’, the ‘Open Your Heart’ scene with Julia Garner, ‘Justify My Love’ and ‘Deeper and Deeper’ references, walking in ‘Ghost Town’ and many more that you can discover each time watching it! And also the lasers out of dancers pussy, the bathroom dance orgy, the end credits because there are so many people working and involved in this film, as it was shoot in different locations, London, New York, Los Angeles. TORSO directed it. Bravo!
Madonna invites us to dance and when that happens, we just get up and dance! The whole world is talking about the fashion, the film making, the choreography, the make up, the videography, everything on this film is a piece of art and the company (and people behind it) that made this happen, put an 100% effort to make this all come true! You either release a short music video, or you release a promo film, full of mini videos, to promote an album. And this is not only about ‘Confessions II’. Pop music in general is on decline, too many so-called-singers-and-songwriters on the scence the last years, but no one seems so relevant than Madonna who’s been doing this since 1983.
A huge applause to her promotion company.
“Danceteria” is my favorite tune from all the above and it’s a huge hit for Madonna. So personal, so dancefloor anthem!
Enough with words. Press play and go watch the film NOW!
