The winner of 2016 Polaris Music Prize is Kaytranada #AlbumOfTheWeek 99.9%

Kaytranada is a Haitian-Canadian DJ and record producer. This year he released 99.9% and received the Canadian Polaris Music Prize. That fact, was a great push to give global notice to an excellent album that is standing at the path of electronica, beats & loops with an old-school essence in it (driven by great vocals). Kaytranada has called lots of artists for the making of the album and did some amazing collaborations with of Anderson .Paak, Vic Mensa, Little Dragon, Syd, Craig David, AlunaGeorge, and BadBadNotGood amongst others.

Kaytranada began to DJ at the age of 14 and at the following year, began to produce his music.To date he’s released a total of thirteen projects and forty-one remixes and has toured more than 50 Canadian, American, European and Australian cities.

His latest single is featuring the vocals of Sydney Bennett, known by her stage name as Syd tha Kyd or more recently Syd. It is a disco flavored single that leads you immediately on the dancefloor.
